Did the Bay Area kill Hip-Hop? Doesn’t matter: Nas is coming to set things straight. As part of Def Jam’s “Rock the Bells 2008,” a 10-city North American tour, the controversial Queens lyricist travels from coast to coast with a repertoire of his latest songs from his follow up to “Hip-Hop is Dead,” an untitled album set to be in stores July 15, after much delay. (Which you can hear in its entirety, free and legal here.)
Nas will headline the Shoreline Ampitheatre on August 16 besides multi-platinum artists Method Man, Redman and Ghostface Killah. Tickets are on sale now.--Edward Paik
