Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival Keeps Piling It On
When last we discussed this year's upcoming Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival (number eight in the series, if you haven't been counting), we mentioned the likes of Gogol Bordello, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, Bonnie Prince Billy, Loudon Wainwright III, The Bad Livers, Asleep at the Wheel, Earl Scruggs, Robert Earl Keen, and others. Since then the organizers have added heaps of new talent to the pile, including Iron & Wine, Steve Earle, Richard Thompson, Dave Alvin, Iris DeMent, Jon Spencer & Matt Verta-Ray's Heavy Trash, Mekons linchpin members Jon Langford & Sally Timms, and more and more. Our advice: Keep checking the festival website as it continues to expand. And buy tickets soon! Oh, wait, never mind — it's a free event. You are so lucky, S.F. — J. Graham
