Band Name of the Week: Meth Teeth

Don't ever Google the words "meth teeth." You'll end up with scarred retinas from the overload of images like this one (at least dude's mustache seems to remain intact). There's nothing yucky about the band Meth Teeth, however. The Northwest lo-fi garage punk act should have a familiar (low-end) ring to fans of Thee Oh Sees, Sic Alps, or the Dodos. There's some melody in there behind all that trashcan banging, but the white noise cuts like arsenic through anything that could possibly be considered pop. If you're not too fried from the weekend by Sunday, the band plays the Hemlock that night. I imagine their smiles can't be beat. -- Jennifer Maerz
