The Lowbrow Art Sale: Sylvia Ji, Luke Chueh & Drew Falchetta

Sylvia Ji - "La Catrina"

Not since the first few weeks of writing this article have I shown a print from Sylvia Ji.
Well, she is having a solo show coming up on the 14th at the White Walls Gallery in San Francisco and I thought this would be a good time to show one. (I'm not sure if she will have new prints for the show or not.) This print is from the last show that she had at White Walls. The style of this painting is pretty much where she has been going lately, and I really dig these new works. She has a bunch of prints from this site, but this one has to be my favorite. The colors, the layout and the pose. Perfect. Get It Here

Luke Chueh - "Possessed Revisited"

The Copro Nason gallery has two new prints available by Luke Chueh. It all started with his Possessed painting, which led to a vinyl collectible toy and now this revisited painting. I think out of all of them this is my favorite. This print is 18" x 24" on varnished wood with the sides painted, and is limited to 50. It's signed and numbered and looks so close to the original piece it's ridiculous. Get It Here

Drew Falchetta - "Octopus"

Currently working out of Philadelphia, Drew was one of the artists in the "B Movie" show that I curated this last April. He submitted two really amazing pieces. I'm a a big fan of watercolor work and when it has a great sense of humor and storytelling in it, like all of Drew's work has, then consider me hooked. This is a new print from Drew that is also available off of Ivoteforart.com. The print is 12" x 25" and is on Hahnemuehle Photo Rag paper. Get It Here

Josh Keyes - "Weaving"

Out of all the sites to buy prints from, Tiny Showcase is a killer site to do so. They consistently have great prints from some of the top artists out there. The problem is, the prints usually sell out within hours. Luckily there is a few prints left from Northern California artist Josh Keyes. Josh has an amazing nature based, cross section inspired painting style. It's like looking at those precious moments of nature we never get to see, with a little bit of science rolled into one. Tanya Pshenychny - "Purple Balloon"

Tanya has been shown in these articles before, and like Drew above she was in the "B Movie" show. She also works in watercolor and completely rules at it. She has a whole host of prints available, but this one caught my eye. It really looks like something that would be the cover of an indie album. I also love the fact that she is not afraid to leave some of the paper visible in her work. This print is 8" x 10" and is signed and dated. Get It Here
