Warfield to close for repairs, Phil Lesh to host special guest

This Sunday is the final night for the Warfield as we know it, as the historic Market Street venue closes for renovation for a couple months. After May 18, the first shows at the club aren't until September, with Nick Cave playing there September 20th. The old Warfield won't go down without a very San Francisco style party, however. Phil Lesh & Friends play there tonight through Sunday, and rumor has it those "friends" could even include Carlos Santana (who is at the Fillmore the following week) on Sunday -- which is also rumored to be a late-running evening for everyone involved. -- Jennifer Maerz
