The Lowbrow Art Sale: Audrey Kawasaki, Joshua Clay & Travis Lampe

Tue Mar 11, 2008 at 08:00:00 AM

Audrey Kawasaki "Lacey"

The past few times I have featured prints by Audrey they always sell out lightning fast. Not because of me, she's just in that much demand right now. So much so that she has special instructions on how to get one of her prints, unless you want to buy it on ebay later for hugely inflated prices. This print is signed and numbered in an edition of 150 with 90 available. The print goes on sale March 15 at 9:00am PST, only one per customer. Click the link for all the info and Good luck.

Joshua Clay "Love and Lust"

An artist working out of Los Angeles, Joshua Clay has an amazing style and is quickly becoming quite popular. Similar to Lori Earley he distorts and elongates the figure, in his case pretty extreme elongation but it looks great. His paintings are colorful and always a blast to look at. He currently has a solo show at Distinction Art Gallery. There are two prints available there. This print is signed and numbered in an edition of 50. It's a pretty big size as well at 23" x 11", the exact size of the original painting.

Travis Lampe "Accidental Mishap"

A graphic designer that used to make ads for breakfast cereals and the like, Travis Lampe has moved into fine art and the gallery scene. His work is colorful and very fun. Even in this piece the little guy is crying, his Lucky Charms like rainbow broke but the painting still make you happy. Eat it anyway little guy, it's probably safe. Gallery 1988 in San Francisco is actually releasing two prints from Travis, I just liked this one better.
Both signed and numbered giclee prints, limited to 25 each. If you buy both you can save $25.

Andy Kehoe "Conquering Giants"

It's been far to long since I have shown a print by Andy Kehoe. He recently had to switch his website domain so to make the transition easier he released two new prints. One of the things I love the most about Andy's work is the amount of detail he manages to get into each piece, look how many leaves there are in this one. I would go mad trying to paint each one of those. Every one of Andy's prints is on Hahnemuhle Fine Art Photo Rag paper, signed and numbered. This specific print is limited to 40.

Dave Habben "Untitled"

Blueflip art has released a new print by illustrator Dave Habben. The last print I showed of his was a bit different than this one, but it's nice to see that Dave has a variety of styles he can do. The original was made with acrylics and you can see the texture transfer over into this print. It's a very cool print, and a portion of each sale goes to Disabled American Veterans.
