Happy trails, HD DVD. Toshiba Corp. will likely abandon HD DVD this week and officially lose the format war to Blu-ray, according to reports. This comes in the wake of Wal-Mart, Netflix and many other retailers announcing their discontinuation of HD DVD sales and rentals.
