LastNight: Fecal Face Art Gallery Opens

Clearly, the new Fecal Face Gallery is cool.

The coolest kids in town put on their finest thrift store attire on Saturday and braved the storm to come out to the grand opening of the Fecal Face Gallery at 66 Gough. Dozens packed into the 200 square foot art gallery like a bunch of very hip sardines. The show featured the artists Kill Pixie, Jay Howell, Jeremy Fish, Kelsey Brookes, Andrew Schoultz, Hilary Pecis, Tara Foley, and Maya Hayuk. And oh yeah, the beer was only two bucks. That's a cheap dinner for starving artists.

Fecal Face is best known as San Francisco's top art website, but this new gallery is an opportunity to display local artists in real life. As the site's editor John Trippe told us last week, the name Fecal Face is something that sounded funny when he was 22, and he never imagined it would have the success that it's had.
