Local indie rockers Birdmonster are the new recruits to Fader magazine's little record label. Expect a new release from the band towards the end of this year--and, hmmm, mabye some ink in the magazine I'd imagine? -- Jennifer Maerz

New York, NY: FADER Label, the recording branch of The FADER, is pleased to announce the addition of San Francisco's Birdmonster to its ever-growing roster of top-tier international talent. Joining the ranks of critically acclaimed artists such as Editors and Saul Williams, Birdmonster will be releasing their FADER Label debut in Q2 2008 as a follow up to their 2006 full-length, No Midnight.
Spearheaded by Peter Arcuni, the new untitled album stands to be the band's most compelling work to date. Currently in the studio with producer Tom Schick (Ryan Adams, Rufus Wainwright, Norah Jones), Birdmonster is wrapping production and will unveil select material through live performances around the country highlighted by appearances at this year's SXSW Conference in Austin.

"We are very pleased to be working with the forward thinking group of people at FADER Label", remarked, Peter Arcuni, Birdmonster's creative visionary, "I can't imagine a better fit for us and where we want to take the band in the future."

"We are really excited to be moving forward with such a unique and talented group of artists," said Jon Cohen, President of FADER Label. "We feel they are the perfect addition to our growing roster of emerging and established artists."
