Turf Talk in the NY Times

Categories: Music

Kalefa Sanneh has been steadily plugging the work of Bay Area rap vet Turf Talk in the NY Times as of late. Back in June, he gave West Coast Vaccine a plug, writing that although the disc was a little rough, it also "offers plenty of evidence to suggest that he could transcend his regional status." Last weekend Sanneh reminded the nation of Turk Talk once again, noting that in hiphop's shrinking marketplace, Turf's intrepid hustle is the new face of hiphop promotion. Always good to see local talent getting national recognition.
