Mark Ryden "Meat Boy"

What better way to start out a new year than with a Mark Ryden print, of a sketchy little kid holding a steak? This was back during his "Meat" series of paintings. The site that is selling it is a gallery that bought the print directly from Mark in 1998. The money from this print will help with the new gallery they are opening. I have never seen one of these prints for sale, and I'm not sure I ever will again. The print is 9"x12 giclee on cotton rag paper. Signed and numbered by the artist. It is #53 in a sold out edition of 100.

Alberto Seveso "Dio benedica la passera (Side A)"

A freelance illustrator from Italy, Alberto's work was recently shown in the Grafuck 3 release party at Gallery Nucleus. Out of all the work in that show I like this piece the most. I like how Alberto is making vector art, but doing in a way I have never seen before. This is not the standard vectorized portraits most people make, you can see shape in this one and the form of the female body even though there is no skin. Well, besides a little bit of the face and those nipples there. This fine art photo print is a generous 17" x24".

Tomer Hanuka "Cell"

Originally from Israel, Tomer moved to New York to pursue a career in comics. He has done work for DC Comics, New York Times, New Yorker, Rolling Stone and many others. He has a great style and way of putting things together. Most of his work is pretty in your face. I've been waiting to post this one for a while now, it has zombies who doesn't like zombies? Check out that dog, looks like he likes it. Here's hoping for a zombie outbreak in '08. This print is 15"x13" on rag paper.

Ric Stultz "Fashionable Spaceman"

I was looking for some sci-fi related artwork for a show I will be curating this coming year, and found the very cool work of Ric Stultz. He has a great brushy, open style to all of his work. It's messy and stylistic and just plain fun. It didn't surprise me that BlueFlip art had prints of Ric's work, they have a ton of great artists there. A portion of the print sale goes to the Wisconsin Humane Society.

Ashley Wood "Bamba Family Poster"

I showed one of Ashley's new poster prints a few articles ago, and now he has another one. I bought the last one that he released and it's honestly far too amazing to be called a poster print. It's on excellent paper and signed by the artist, shipped to you in a nice sturdy tube. This next print in his poster series is filled with all of his most popular characters. Another amazing print and for only $10, how can you not buy this? Pick one up and use the tube to whoop on your buddies. Thats worth the money alone.
