Jay-Z and Apple Launching a Record Label?

Jay-Z and Apple Inc. are teaming up to launch a digital record label. This is according to a rumor from The Boy Genius Report who says they've "just about confirmed" it from "a high-up person attached to Jay."
Tech blog Crunchgear says the rumor is bullshit. But if it's true, Steve Jobs and friends may make the announcement at the upcoming MacWorld Expo here in San Francisco.
Jay-Z recently stepped down from his post as president of Def Jam, so I guess he's searching for more middle-aged white guys to shake hands with. Let's just hope the first single on Apple's new label will be Jay-Z and Steve Jobs performing "Ebony and Ivory." -- Tyler Callister
