This Friday: “The Hip-Hop Sonata" Premieres Musical Experiment

Local musicians Kev Choice & B'nai offer something new at their monthly, [take a deep breath] 'The Junction at The Black New World Social Aid & Pleasure Club' tomorrow. Choice's work in progress is entitled "The hip-hop sonata for rap, piano, drums, bass, and percussion", and it bills itself as a multi-movement composition consisting of songs from the upcoming Kev Choice album, The Broken Mold, combining masterpieces from the hip-hop, classical, jazz and soul repertoire. Let's hope Kev doesn't choke on this buffet of sound. Check some of the tracks off the new record here:
