Michael Hussar "Hans Memling"
This painting from Michael Hussar was recently seen on an episode of L.A. Ink when it was tattooed on artist Dave Hill. Since being seen on the show, I have been asked over and over if and when it would made into a print. Well, BirdBath Publishing is now taking preorders of the print. The print is limited to 88; it is signed and numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity. The image area is 10" x14", and it is unframed. I'm sure you could find a frame that fits this amazing print, no problem. There is an estimated delivery time of December 31. The price is $300 plus shipping. I do not see this print lasting long at all, his prints sell out very fast.

Chet Zar, "I want You"
It's been quite a long time since I have featured a print from Chet Zar. Well, he has some new ones and they were worth the wait. CoproNason Gallery has released two new giclee prints, both from his most popular paintings. This one is "I Want You." It's a massive 40"x30", giclee on canvas stretched and varnished. It's a limited edition of 30, signed and numbered. This is a seriously cool print, and is by far the largest print Chet has released.

Kenichi Hoshine "Untitled"
An illustrator in New York, like most of today's artists seem to be, Kenichi Hoshine also is part of A Polite Winter, a group project between Kenichi and James Jean. I believe I read somewhere that Kenichi went to the same school that James Jean did, it wouldn't surprise me. He has that same immense skill that is also seen in Jean's work. This is a newly released print, and doesn't seem to be limited. It has a great feel to it; it could be somber or comforting, depending on how you feel when you look at it.

Esao Andrews "Girl Still Life"
An illustrator located in Brooklyn, Esao Andrews has a solo show coming up at the Jonathan Levine Gallery in January. His artwork is amazing, and I can really see it fitting with what the Levine Gallery shows. If you zoom in on his work on his homepage, you can see how detailed and brushy his oil painting are. The skin on the figures has so much texture. This print is debossed and signed, limited to 40. Is that a noose around her neck?

Brian "Candykiller" Taylor, "Unspeakable Terror"
The amazing LetterPressed has released the second in a series of Candykiller prints. The pre-order for this one starts at 12:00. The print is an 8x10" two-color letterpress, on cotton rag paper, signed and numbered. The print is limited to 90, but LetterPressed will only be selling 40 of them, so these are bound to sell out very fast. This is one crazy-looking print, and by far my favorite that Brian Taylor has done so far.

thanks for the dash of culture in my otherwise bland week. loved the "black magic" piece, reminds me of King Mob from the Invisibles and a little bit of Dream from the Sandman.
