My pal Chrissy turned me on to this site for The Take-Away Shows, where musicians perform live on the streets of Paris. It’s all very sweet and precious and romantic and fun to watch. Especially the video of Beirut, whose last album has me completely smitten (he performs my favorite song, "Nantes," in this clip). -- Jennifer Maerz

We should start it with a couple bands in town.
Off the top of my head:

--Sleepytime Gorilla Museum at Powell BART

--Extra Action Marching Band in Union Square

--And Xiu Xiu can play North Beach!
