Perfectly Good Beer Wasted As Pancake Debate Rages On

While debate continues to rage over at The Snitch about which beer makes the best pancake batter -- Olympia, Weinhhard's, Pyramid Apricot or Guinness -- I prefer my beer first, usually the night before, and my pancakes in the morning. And since the last thing anybody wants to do after a long night of drinking is cook breakfast, or for that matter, waste perfectly good beer in a pancake batter recipe, luckily there are plenty of obliging greasy spoons to hit the griddle on your behalf.
As Gridskipper points out "Everyone Says They Have the Best Pancakes in San Francisco," including some non-traditional varieties like Shanghai Dumpling King's green onion flapjacks (otherwise known as salty pancakes) and It's Tops Coffee Shop's chocolate peanut butter pancakes.
Here's to drinking your beer and eating your pancakes, in that order.
