Luke Chueh "Gero Hero or Bat Bear"
LukeChueh_BatBear.jpg
The very first week I wrote this article I featured a piece by Luke. He has a great style, and seems to be filled with never ending ideas for paintings. This specific piece was first made to be in a show that never happened, now Gallery 1988 will be releasing this print at his reception tonight (Sept. 25th) for his new show "Paintings of Hope and Hopelessness". The print will be limited to 100 and will be signed and numbered. I really dig this piece, it helps that I'm also a comic book nerd, but I think the facial expression really does it. Why so glum? I'd be happy if I was Batman..

Luke Chueh "Inspiration (Bright Ideas From The Hole In My Soul)"

This week we have two prints by Luke, this second one is a "secret" print that the Creep Machine was able to find out about. This print will be only be available at the Gallery 1988, so this could be a great excuse to go to the show. This print will be sold out very fast, it's limited to only 50 prints. Any print by Luke Chueh seems to sell out quickly, but this one is going to be ridiculous, it's a very smooth piece. You might notice this one on the homepage of the Gallery 1988, as the opening image of Luke's show. I do like this one a lot, and wish that I was close enough to snag one.

Matt Dangler " Lost In Loompa Land"

The next print available from the amazing Crazy4Cult show, is a piece by Matt Dangler. An award winning illustrator that has been seen in some really killer shows, like the I am 8 Bit show, Matt has a very infectious style and imagination. My favorite part of this piece, has to be the little furry Willy Wonka, you can even see some Gene Wilder in that face. This piece is extremely limited, hand signed and numbered, only 20 prints will be made. It goes on sale September 28th, so be ready.

Jim Woodring "The Artists Eye"
jimwoodring_artistseye.jpg
Not only is he a comic author and artist, his work has inspired so many since he started his anthology of comics Jim in the 1980's. His work is both surreal, and even a little bit nightmarish. This print is inspired by the eye of the artist, and what it sees and doesn't see. This is by far the largest print that the Pressure Printing crew has done, a 32.5" x 26.5" photo etching. It's quite amazing when you look at the image up close, there is so much to see. The print is limited to only 25 and you can order it framed if you like.

Scott Saw "Eternal Embrace"

An artist out of San Diego, Scott also runs a freelance design company called "SawBlade Designs". I figured a nice colorful piece would be great to end the article this week. Scott's paintings are so vibrant and colorful, he also puts so much into each piece, such as staining the wood so grain shows through, spattering of paint for texture and nice energetic lines and compositions. Scott is having a special this month, if you get two of his limited prints, you can get one of equal or lesser value for free. This print is limited to 69 prints, signed and numbered.
