1. Sas Christian "Tricky"
Sas is from Florida where she lives with her husband, sculptor Colin Christian.
She has only been painting since 1999, but is very skilled. I saw her work in person
at the Shooting Gallery and was an instant fan. The way she paints eyes, the detail in
them is mesmerizing. You can see every little tiny detail of the iris, it freaks me out.
I’m sure that up close this print is even more impressive. This print is giclee on canvas,
signed and is limited to only 30, so I know it will not last long.

2. Kris Lewis "Rose Zephyr"
Kris Lewis said he is influenced by “Bougereau, the Pre- Raphaelites, Mucha,
early Italian Renaissance painters, and the folklore of his Latvian heritage.”
If you look at his work you can see the influence quite clearly, he has amazing
skill. His paintings have a great surreal quality to them and are so realistically
detailed, that when you first look at them it’s hard to believe it is paint. I’m
a large fan of Renaissance art, but it’s also nice to have something new and
fresh, but still have the influence of the great masters.

This is the very first print from the Artist out of Los Angeles. You can see
that his style is very illustrative, but also influenced by street art. The print
itself is a 5 color serigraph, using “eco-friendly” ink. This print is very cool,
especially for his first one. The colors are striking, and the gray background
helps this limited edition of 100 print look very classy.

When you look at the work of Alex Pardee, you’re seeing the influence of
horror movies, graffiti and music. He also uses his art to help battle depression,
much like many musicians and painters, the creative output helps to act like a
medicine. You might have seen his work on the cover of this months Juxtapoz,
and this image specifically was used for the subscriber version. I got hooked on
his work right after I found the works of Greg “Craola” Simkins.

Not only as he been a special effects artist on such movies as “The Ring” and “Hellboy”,
as well as the very unique music videos for the band Tool. In 2000, he decided to work
specifically on fine art, and now looking back his impressive catalog of works, it was a
good idea. You can see the influence of artists such as: Beksinski, H.R.Giger, Bosch, and
from what his bio says Norman Rockwell. His art is dark, surreal and very unique. This
print is from an edition of 50, there are many more prints on his site as well.

I own Sas' print and it's as impressive as it is massive - it's also a huge steal for the price - anyone hesitating shouldn't.
Oddly enough, I own Kris Lewis' original Rose Zephyr painting as well as the print - I've held the print up to the original and it's as good a copy as it could possibly be.
Kris' work is awesome - if you can afford an original get one now before it is too late!
I can't afford an original by Sas so the print is as good as it gets - it's actually larger than the original painting and one of the best prints I've ever seen - and I've seen plenty!
