Imagine Seeing John Lennon's Piano. 'Cuz That's the Only Way You're Going to See it.
We at All Shook Down have learned that John Lennon’s piano is touring around the nation. This significant Steinway which Lennon used to compose “Imagine” will now be seen by the masses, except San Francisco. Why, you ask? Because the piano is appearing only in areas of the nation that suffered events of tragedy, having already made its way to the somber grounds of Viginia Tech, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, and even the Memphis Motel. Although well-intentioned, is this fair to us San Franciscans? Shouldn’t benign areas be able to cherish this historical relic as well? Doesn’t the Great 1906 Earthquake count?
I’m getting all verklempt. Discuss amongst yourselves.-p
