Dueling Sporks: A Tale Of Two In-Side-Out Burgers

One critic's "whimsy" is another critic's "stunt" when it comes to Spork's In-Side-Out Burger -- two beef patties encasing a layer of bun, lettuce and tomato on the bottom, and the whole thing topped with a slice of fancy Tillamook cheddar and caramelized onions.
The whole "deconstructed" burger thing just reeks of our least favorite celebrity chef, Bobby Flay. (How about we Throw Down with some mango chutney and blue corn tortillas. Dork.) But don't worry, Rachel Ray, we know somebody out there is thinking of you.
As far as we're concerned, any burger that runs 14 bucks a pop and requires a knife and fork to eat is veering dangerously into stunt territory no matter what it tastes like. Especially when you could walk down the street (admittedly a long walk) to Zeitgeist and spend five bucks for a juicy, delicious slab of burger -- right-side-in.
