Despite the sold-out Fillmore crowd that featured many sweaty drunk college kids yelling pointless remarks, the warm glow that is Feist's presence melted away any tendencies to knee frat boys in the groin.

Close your eyes at a Feist show and you can imagine yourself in any different scenario: lonely desert highway, smoky jazz club, blues on a southern back-porch; and when the strobes come out, even your high school prom. Her husky voice has a uniqueness that lends itself to being a chameleon of sorts -- one that can effortlessly mix the achingly sad with the impossibly hopeful.

Touring her latest album, The Reminder, she sang enough soft, melancholy gems to balance out the more rockin' songs that made even the most jaded hipster shake their ass. Backed by a full band of horns, keys, xylophone, and other random musical devices, she swayed sweetly with her giant guitar, charming everyone between songs with her wit and laid back nature. With every word the crowd cheered. Forgotten lyrics? How adorable, we love you even more Feist!

Yes, the seemingly flawless Feist gave a gorgeous performance that made us laugh, cry, and sing. And most importantly, rock the fuck out.
