Charlie Brown's Great Pumpkin has nothing on the winner of Monday's Safeway World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off in Half Moon Bay. Thad Starr's prize pumpkin tipped the scales at 1528 pounds, and the beauty will be on display at this weekend's 38th Annual Art & Pumpkin Festival, Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Main Street in Half Moon Bay. —Tamara Palmer
