SFoodie is bringing you gift ideas small and large for the food obsessives in your life.

Murals and juicy food from a truck: double love that. Now, there's a way to show off your love with some fashion sass. Off the Grid launched a line of wearables recently, which ups the wardrobe options for that next eating adventure. Stuff your stocking with a Triple Truck tee ($30 to $50) by famed SF muralist Sirron Norris, whose work you've likely seen in and around the Mission (his classes also come highly recommended, if you're looking for a twofer). Look good, feel even better: a portion of proceeds go to food entrepreneur incubator La Cocina.

Vegan chocolates are not usually our go-to items for a sweet fix, mainly due to their texture and mouthfeel. However, the goodies from Obsession Confection Disorder, a one-woman East Bay outfit run by Melodi Brooke Donahue, are as smooth and pleasing as their non-vegan counterparts -- so much so that our butter and cream loving mom was cooing and asking for seconds. For stocking stuffers, there are shareable items like the Ruthless Mama ($12), which blends crunchy peanuts and vanilla bean caramel or an order of PB&G ($6), a nice peanut butter and ganache update on those other peanut butter cups.

All through December, SFoodie is bringing you local gift ideas for the food obsessives in your life.

Even after two years of business in San Francisco, Fatted Calf Charcuterie (which began in Napa) still flies under the radar of some of the city's meat lovers. Like its counterparts at Boccalone and 4505 Meats, the shop offers many gift-worthy meat products at an affordable price point that will blow away those plastic-packed Gallo joints that show up at all the holiday parties.

Whenever someone gifts me a plant, I'm charmed and happy that my friends notice I have learned how to nourish and keep delicate and even beautiful plants alive in my modest Mission dwelling. Whether your giftee has the greenest of thumbs or is more of a "wait and see" shy gardening type, it's off to the solar powered Flora Grubb Gardens you go. The space is in Bayview District and sports easy-peasy parking, Ritual Roasters coffee and Black Jet Bakery pastries to keep your shopping energy from flagging. Flora's boasts a nice sale running now through December 24.

San Francisco-based blog Turntable Kitchen understands how hard it is to choose between music and food when it comes to having a first love and offers cute and original products that mix the two. There are tea towels with headphones and a whisk (as well as ones that say "Tasty Tunes") and gift bundles that contain records, a T-shirt, and recipes.

Give them these and send them on their way.
All through December, SFoodie is bringing you local gift ideas for the food obsessives in your life.

Sending a fruitcake this year just ain't gonna cut it, it's time to step up the gift-giving by being a bit more thoughtful and creative -- which, luckily, does not necessarily entail spending a lot of cash. One idea for the friends in your life who have that unquenchable wanderlust: Arm them with the tools to have a great-tasting road trip.

Before taking on the delicious job of being SF Weekly's restaurant critic and SFoodie's editor, Anna Roth released an excellent book called West Coast Road Eats: The Best Road Food from San Diego to the Canadian Border. Having lived as far south as Los Angeles and as far north as her native Seattle, she's had a lot of experience sussing out what's most edible even in the long stretches of boring highway that separate those locales.

All through December, SFoodie is bringing you local gift ideas for the food obsessives in your life.

It can be ridiculously hard to find the right treat for the person who keeps on top of every cool local food product that comes out, but one way to surprise them is to get them something that is a limited edition holiday special that has never been made before. If this is the kind of gift-giving need you have right now, consider the seasonal flavor currently being offered by San Francisco's 479° Popcorn, a dark chocolate and peppermint oil-infused caramel variety.
