The rundown: It's the perfect season for a hot bowl of soup. Rice Paper Scissors is hosting a Vietnamese brunch to warm up these ccc-cold winter days. Their pho and rice plates take center stage, complemented by a cast of appetizers, Vietnamese drinks, and warm dessert. Pho Ga (chicken pho) with a special version, Pho Ga Long, will be served with chicken offal such as poached egg yolks and chicken liver. A duo of rice plates will be served with options like Vietnamese beignets, fried and topped with cinnamon and coconut jam to seal the meal.

The rundown: SF Burger Brawl winner Wes Rowe of Wesburger will be hosting a pop up at the Musical Pursuit of 2013 tonight. The night of music trivia will also be a holiday clothes drive highlighted by Rowe's Chronikkah menu dishes up half baked/half smoked brisket sliders served on challah with pickled red cabbage, crispy onions and horseradish sauce. Don't know what city Hendrix was in when he died? Stuff your face with Rowe's Sufganiyot, a jelly doughnut stuffed with Manischewitz preserves.

Holiday Cookie Pop-up

Where: Dandelion Chocolate
The rundown: Dandelion Chocolate will be hosting 12 Nights of Chocolate, celebrating the holidays and chocolate-centric desserts from some of the city's best pastry chefs. On Sunday, Dandelion Chocolate pastry chef Lisa Vega will be making holiday cookies in the cafe all day.
