Dinner.
Man-about-town Iso Rabins, of ForageSF, Underground Market, and SF Weekly fame, has recently been hosting Batch Made Market in an empty lot on Duboce between Valencia and Mission. This month's market on Sunday, his last for a while, will feature a fishing pond (aka kiddy pool) stocked with fish (type TBD) for attendees to catch themselves. For a $20 suggested donation, you will be given a pole, lifelong commercial fisherman "Grandpa Wood" will help you catch a fish and gut it, and the folks at ForageSF will cook it up before your very eyes. Reserve your spot here, but only if you're sure you're going to attend because space is limited.

Out of the Wild - Iso Rabins' foraged food is the toast of San Francisco's gourmet set. Health inspectors and environmentalists aren't so thrilled.

Batch Made Market will also feature its signature four-square tournament (we've attended, and they are super-fun), as well as musical chairs, local food and microbrews, and workshops on how to make sweet potato pie filling, kimchi, ghee, and mustard. Sign up for free tickets on the website.

Food vendors include: Mamie & Makhi's, NUCHA empanadas, Spice Child, Stroopie Gourmet waffles, Sweet Treats, SUP! Southeast Asian street food, Post Street Creamery ice cream, Powered by Pork Mexican-Vietnamese street food, Sweet Pistachio bakery, King Knish, The Munchie Stop, Barcote, and Herons Mustards.

Batch Made Market

When: Sunday, Nov. 10, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
Where: 55 Duboce (under the highway between Mission/Valencia)
Cost: Admission is free; vendors a la carte

Interesting, I'm wondering about the progress on the "Forage Kitchen" space he got over $156,000 towards.
