Watch a Day in the Life of S.F. Through Foursquare Check-Ins
Like they did with New York and Tokyo earlier in the year, Foursquare has put its check-in data in San Francisco to good use. The company has condensed a years' worth of its check-in data into a single day and visualized it, showing where and when residents of different cities check in to the site.
San Francisco, it must be said, is less visually interesting than its East Coast counterpart. Maybe just because of its condensed geography -- the FiDi and Union Square are big during the day, the Mission and Castro heat up at night, but they're fairly close to each other so the difference isn't especially noticeable. Plus, we're pretty much all in bed by 2 a.m. (or at least not checking in to Foursquare).
Foursquare has also visualized check-ins from other cities around the world, like London, Chicago, and Istanbul. Eater has 'em all in one place.
