The mighty Kronnerburger with bone marrow and a side of fries.
This week's review is on hamburger pop-up Kronnerburger at Bruno's in the Mission, but if you live across the Bay, want to try it, and can't be bothered to make the BART trip, you're in luck: Chef Chris Kronner is taking his burgerly skills to Oakland this Friday for the Creative Growth Studio Party during Oakland's Art Murmur.

A $30 ticket gets you a Kronnerbuger, fries, a drink ticket, and music by Shock (tickets and more info available on Kronnerburger's Facebook page).

I became a big fan of the Kronnerburger-- it's rare and salty, with cheddar mayo, crisp lettuce, and a light broiche-y bun from Acme bread. Kronner told me that he hasn't discontinued his search for a brick-and-mortar location, though he's not looking as fervently as he was once -- "I stopped being hung up on obsessing about spaces and locations. Just following it where it goes, for the time being it's here [at Bruno's]," he said -- adding that he's not discounting the East Bay, where he lives, as a potential permanent home.

So if you Oaklanders want the glorious Kronnerburger in your 'hood, show up Friday and show your support.
