Speed Rack: Cocktail Challenge for Breast Cancer Charity

Courtesy of Speed Rack Last year's winner, Jill Webster
This Sunday the Oscars aren't the only show worth watching. Go cheer your favorite nominees for leading female bartender in a bar drama at the second annual breast cancer fundraiser Speed Rack. The competition is the first nationwide competition designed to highlight up-and-coming women in the cocktail industry, and give back to those impacted by breast cancer.
Starring an all-star cast of leading bartending ladies, this cocktail-studded event makes the perfect pre-game for your Oscar viewing. Set the TiVo on the Oscars, and go do a little good.

For a mere $20, you get to watch the competition and bask in the intoxicating feeling of giving to charity. Don't worry, you won't go thirsty: the stage will be surrounded by bars, making sure you win your fill of cocktails for the night with tequila, gin, vodka, and bourbon walking down your mouth's red carpet.

The competition is fierce, with 20 competitors mixing their hearts out. Rated on speed and accuracy, the winners progress through heats like chain lightning for a panel of judges who rate each drink. In case you need some sustenance, the Melt truck will be parked outside for toasty cheese goodness.
If you can't make it, you can still donate online and make your own tinsel town-style drinks at home with the recipes below.
Or you can stay home and watch Seth MacFalane in real time.
