Fifty Cent Drinks Drop at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf This Afternoon
It's something of a guilty pleasure that we picked up from visits to L.A. in college: sugary caffeinated beverages from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Back then, a coffee rush from Coffee Bean seemed to make it easier to hit the books and we weren't so snobby about bean heritage, or grind and roasting times. Thursday afternoon presents the perfect opportunity to sample Coffee Bean's "heritage" line of drinks at a steep discount: English Toffee Latte, English Toffee Ice Blended, and Chai Tea Latte drinks will be on sale from 2 to 6 p.m. for a mere 50 cents.

The drink sale is in the name of fifty years of coffee and tea history, and the company said in a press release that, "These beverages highlight the company's history of innovation: English Toffee was one of the first specialty beverages served in stores in the 1960s and Chai Tea Latte was launched in 1998, since becoming a signature beverage."
Thursday is supposed to be darky and chilly, and wrapping our paws around a warm cuppa sounds just right.
