Say Bye to Bar Bambino and Hello to RickyBobby

In addition to last minute holiday shopping, rambunctious office parties, and the potentially catastrophic termination of the Mayan calendar, this week a signless restaurant truly named RickyBobby is now open for business on Haight Street at Webster, according to Eater. If you are hungry for beef and bacon burgers ($10) or sweet potatertots ($5) look for the red paint and large white windows (alcohol and presumably signage coming soon).
Also, Eater reports that Bar Bambino in the Mission will be closed indefinitely as of January 1st, 2013. Owner Christopher Losa will be celebrating one last hurrah with 100 lucky rsvp-ers for a New Years Eve dinner service December 31st. And just in time for the impending apocalypse, Luisa's Restaurant and Notte's Lounge in Cow Hollow will be closing their doors at the end of this week as a new owner has plans to transform the space into a Puerto Rican spot.
Inside Scoop has reported that after 25 years in business, Gio's restaurant and bar in the Financial District will be sold to the owners of nearby watering hole Irish Times. No word yet on what they plan to do with the place but it will remain open for a few more months as they transfer liquor licenses.
Tablehopper discovered that Pica Pica's third location is well underway and will be opening in the Castro in January. Also, Curry Up Now will have a brick-and-mortar location on Valencia Street in the Mission.
