Brooklyn's Governor restaurant pops up in San Francisco tonight.
Governor Comes to San Francisco

Where: Secret San Francisco location disclosed upon purchase
When: Mon., Dec. 10, 7 p.m.
Cost: $150 (purchase in advance via Kitchit)

The rundown: Governor is an acclaimed restaurant in Brooklyn's DUMBO neighborhood. It's currently closed while trying to rebuild from extensive damage from Sandy, and proceeds from tonight's pop-up dinner will help with that effort. The location hasn't been revealed, but it will be in the Mission. Highlights from the menu, which includes wine pairings, are dishes like caviar with crispy sunchoke crumble and brown butter ice cream, 36-hour braised and lacquered Wagyu beef tongue with cabbage melted in buttermilk whey, and lightly fermented turnips with poached oysters and whipped country ham Hollandaise.

Truck Stop Cafe
Where: Truck, 1900 Folsom (at 15th St.), 255-0306
When: Wed., Dec. 12, 6-10 p.m.
Cost: $5-15 (menu items available à la carte)

The rundown: Pop-Up Planner regular Truck Stop Cafe is getting into the Hanukkah spirit in its own oddball way this week with a special dedicated to the last meal request of convicted killer Ethel Greenglass Rosenberg, who ate nothing before she was executed in 1953. She was respecting the Jewish Sabbath, but Truck Stop cook Jake Godby has made a bountiful holiday meal of brisket, kugel, horseradish cream, borscht, and apple jelly donuts with manchego cheese in her memory. Other new dishes this time around include cornmeal pancakes with sweet potato and shiitake cream and crab bisque with pumpkin and curry.

When: Fri., Dec. 14, seatings available from 5:30-10 p.m.
Cost: $45 (purchase in advance via Kitchit)

The rundown: Sous Beurre Kitchen concludes its long and successful 17-month run of pop-ups at Sugarlump this week with a special finale before chef Michael Mauschbaugh opens his permanent restaurant next year. This family-style prix fixe includes fare such as fondue with levain croutons, fondant potatoes, broccolini, cauliflower, and cherry tomatoes and Pacific Coast bouillabaisse with Dungeness crab, rock cod, shrimp, clams, mussels, and house-made pork sausage.
