Monk's Kettle Turns Five and Throws a Party (Today!)

Categories: Beer, Mission

We remember when Monk's Kettle was knee-high to a grasshopper. Five years into their run as one of SF's first beer-centric restaurants, and they've never been more on top of their game. In half a decade, the menu at Monk's has taken on a refined yet rustic personality, and the vintage beer list continues to evolve. Chef Adam Dulye continues to make an impact on a national stage, heading up the beer and food pairing operations at the Great American Beer Festival and Savor event. With the addition of sister restaurant Abbot's Cellar, the crew has proven that there's a place for craft beer in the fine dining world.

Today, you can show your appreciation by heading to Monk's for a birthday celebration. Where most 5-year olds party with magicians and clowns, this gathering will be decidedly more boozy. Monk's has hand-selected five brews -- one from each year of operation -- plus an exclusive new collaborative beer to kick off their 6th year. Chef Dulye has created a special dish to pair with each beer, which will be available a la carte or as a set tasting menu (Abbot's will be serving the set as their 5-course tasting menu as well). See below for menu details, and take note - it's BYO party hat:
