A beacon for Thanksgiving procrastinators.
Updated story, 6 p.m. PST: Hayes Valley Bakeworks has just decided to close on Thanksgiving, but will still be open to sell pies from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Nov. 21. Pricing info remains correct.

Hayes Valley Bakeworks is going to be a hero for procrastinators on Thanksgiving. The non-profit bakery will be extra benevolent to its customers by being open from 7 a.m. to noon on Thanksgiving day (Nov. 22) for your last-minute sweet and carb-loading needs.

If it's pies you're specifically after, you can pick up an apple cranberry, vegan pecan chocolate, or gluten-free pumpkin custard for $14-16. There might also be such treats as the maple bacon cinnamon rolls, TCHO chocolate brioche twists, rustic pop tarts, or creme fraiche muffins that might make for creative alternatives for the holiday party.

But if you are so much of a slacker that you can't make it there by noon on Turkey Day, you're totally on your own.
