End of an Era: Four Barrel Officially Dumps Soy Milk
A few weeks ago we broke the news that Four Barrel had plans to ditch soy milk for good, citing the issues with GMO soy as one of the primary reasons. Well, today's the day: This morning on Twitter, the coffee shop announced the switch to almond milk from Bakersfield's Califia Farms.

But don't work yourself into a tizzy about the loss of soy milk lattes just yet. Four Barrel owner Jeremy Tooker assured contributor Molly Gore of almond milk's deliciousness: "It just tastes way better [than soy]." And as sometimes-barista Gore pointed out in her original article, almond milk fares much better under the steaming wand than soy. Now we just wait and see how many coffee shops in town follow suit.
