Help Sandy Victims by Eating Cupcakes
If buying delicious salsa to support Sandy relief efforts isn't your thing, maybe you'll like this sweet deal: Now through Sunday the 11th, local favorite Kara's Cupcakes is selling a Red Cross Tuxedo cupcake ($3.75) -- chocolate cake with bourbon-vanilla frosting -- and donating proceeds to the Red Cross.

To be really virtuous, you should also grab Kara's new pumpkin pie flavor (pumpkin spice cake filled with caramel and topped with buttercream frosting) -- the proceeds benefit Meals on Wheels S.F. all this month.
And on Monday, Sprinkles Cupcakes down in Palo Alto (and all their other locations across the U.S.) will be donating proceeds from their red velvet cupcake sales to the Red Cross.
