Black Jet Baking Company was founded by baking duo Gillian Shaw and Max Newman. You may have seen their goodies at their storefront in the Ferry Building, or places like Atlas Cafe, Matching Half, Spin City, Avedano's Holly Park Meat Market, and Ritual Roasters. Their menu includes jalapeño cream cheese pop tarts, vanilla bean pound cake, brown butter blondie bars, dark chocolate and cream sandwich cookies, oatmeal boozy raisin cookies, and of course our primary food fascination right now -- pumpkin sticky buns.

The buns are made of croissant dough with a layer of pumpkin butter, cinnamon, and sugar, topped with salted caramel and pecans. They are priced at $12 per half dozen and can be ordered by phone, e-mail, or in person at the Ferry Building. Seems to us that Cinnabon is about to have some seriously sticky cinnamon-related competition.
