Wing Wings Chicken Wing Eating Contest
When: Tuesday, Oct. 9th, 6 p.m.
Where? Lucky 13, 2140 Market Street at Church

Wing Wings is known for its fresh, California free-range chicken, homemade sauces, fries and sides. Now, in an effort to raise money for Western Addition Beacon Center, they are bringing to you the first ever Chicken Wing Eating Contest.

The center is part of Buchanan YMCA and administers after school, summer school, and art programs at John Muir Elementary School. Chuy Gomez from KMEL will be hosting and DJ Doc Fu will be spinning tunes. Contestants will compete in a timed event seeing who can eat the most Angry Korean wings in ten minutes as well as a "hella hella hot competition" to see who can eat 10 hella hella hot wings the fastest. Time will be called after ten minutes and contestants will sit for five additional minutes after finishing with no food or drink.

Sounds pretty intense, right? Luckily, Pabst Blue Ribbon is cosponsoring the event so both participants and onlookers can cool down after the chicken wing madness ensues with $6 PB&J drink deals (PBR plus a shot of Jameson). Don't be a chicken; go get rowdy for a good cause.
