Fun Food Events in the Mission This Weekend
First, tonight kicks off the San Francisco Comedy and Burrito Festival, going on through Saturday at various venues in the neighborhood. Buy a ticket to a comedy show, get a coupon for a free burrito at Pancho Villa or El Toro. We're not 100% sure about the correlation, but hey, we like both comedy and burritos. Check out more coverage on the festival on SF Weekly's arts blog, The Exhibitionist.

This Saturday also brings us the legendary LitCrawl, and with it a trio of food events. Hear local chefs discuss their travel experiences at Craftsman and Wolves (6-7 p.m.), listen to adorable children read their adorable stories about ice cream at 18 Reasons (6-7 p.m.), and hear a panel discuss why food matters in the family at Mission Cheese (7:15-8:15 p.m.) For more details, plus other LitQuake events in Oakland and a Humphrey Slocombe party at the Bold Italic offices tomorrow night, read contributor Molly Gore's original post on the events, including an interview with panel moderator John Birdsall.
