Epic S.F. Beer Crawl Chronicled on Chowhound
A group of six Chowhounders drank every beer made in the city in an admirable 10-hour brewery crawl a few weeks ago. In a post titled "11 miles, 10 hours, 50 beers -- the epic SF brewery crawl," Chowhound user bbulkow outlines the quest, which took them from Magnolia on Haight out to Social Kitchen in the Inner Sunset, down to Southern Pacific and Southpaw in the Mission, out to Speakeasy at Hunter's Point, then up through SOMA to 21st Amendment and Thirsty Bear.
Google Maps The crew made a Google Map to show how much ground they covered.

All in all, the gang tried 55 beers with extensive tasting notes for each, and only resorted to public transportation twice. Color us impressed.
Some tips for those of you who may want to try this feat yourself on a Saturday in the near future: the group ordered small tasting glasses of all beers made on-site at the breweries, and shared amongst themselves so they didn't get too wasted. They also kept eating, which was smart -- "The 'thank god' was a Margarita pizza at 21st Amendment, which somehow damped down the excessive hops from Speakeasy and allowed me to continue," bbulkow writes.
