SF Weekly's DISH Preview: Pizza and Pork Sandwiches from Carmel Pizza
Carmel Pizza Company has been the recipient of plenty of good buzz around town for its wood-fired pizzas and porchetta sandwiches (which we wrote about a few weeks ago), served out of its pizza truck parked in a semi-permanent location in North Beach.
This Sunday, the restaurant is one of 40 restaurants participating in SF Weekly's annual dining event, whose proceeds benefit La Cocina. They'll be serving bites of the thin-crust pizzas and pork sandwich.

The final lineup at SF Weekly's dining event includes Sol Food, Pica Pica Maize Kitchen, Maite Catering, and Farallon, not to mention plenty of wine, beer, and spirits. And as an SFoodie reader, you get $10 off the ticket price just by typing "sfoodie" in the space for the discount code.
