Go Back to School With Edible Schoolyard
Edible Schoolyard has teamed up with UC Berkeley to bring us the second year of Edible Education 103, a series of Tuesday night lectures about food and agriculture with a different guest lecturer each week. The lectures are moderated by Knight Professor of Journalism and general god-among-foodies, Michael Pollan, and have 300 seats available to the public by online reservation.

Tonight's lecture is on the Farm Bill, featuring Congresswoman Chellie Pingree; Dan Imhoff, Co-Founder and Director of Watershed Media; and Ken Cook, President and Co-Founder of the Environmental Working Group. Should be an interesting night of policy talk, and how policies affects the food you eat every day.
If you can't make it over to Berkeley tonight, you can always watch current and past lectures on Edible Schoolyard's YouTube channel.
Harvard is also back in the food lecture game, with its second year of Science & Cooking lectures. This year's lineup includes luminaries like Wylie Dufresne, José Andrés, Ferran Adrià, and Dan Barber.
The first lecture was from authors and food scientists Harold McGee and Dave Arnold, and offers plenty of blow-your-mind moments for food nerds:
