Book Passage's Ferry Building location.
Several times a month, Book Passage, an independent bookseller with locations in San Francisco and Corte Madera, hosts a dinner series called Cooks with Books where a cookbook author gets to direct the preparation of a meal from their book at a restaurant in the city or in Marin County. The author is on hand to chat about their inspirations over a meal that really brings their work to life, as SFoodie witnessed first-hand during a dinner celebrating the cooking of Los Angeles chefs Susan Feniger and Kajsa Alger. The evening provided a rare experience to dissolve the wall between kitchen and dining room and engage a chef in conversation.
