The next Sunday Streets takes place in Dogpatch on July 22 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. While out gallivanting, be sure to stop by and get a preview of Chocolate Lab (801 22nd St. at Tennessee), the forthcoming cafe by noted local chocolatier Michael Recchiuti that's due to debut in September. He'll spend the day (from noon to 4 p.m.) demonstrating the wonders of chocolate spin art, and answering questions about the Lab and Little Nib, the neighboring retail shop that's open for a special preview today through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.![]()

Chocolate Lab will feature a menu of both savory and sweet bites, but we're most excited about the opportunity for Recchiuti to play with ice cream. He's got ice-cream-making relatives in Italy and it's long been a special passion. We've enjoyed licks here and there at Recchiuti special events and from occasional sales of pints on the loading dock at his factory, and can attest to his gift for the art form, whether adapting his signature burnt caramel or a more left-field flavor like olive oil into the frozen realm.
Here are the streets that will blocked off for your walking, cycling, snacking, and general merry-making on Sunday: Third Street bridge to King and Third, Terry Francois from Mariposa to Third Street, Mariposa from Indiana to Terry Francois, Indiana Street between 22nd and Mariposa streets; 22nd Street between Third and Indiana; and northbound Third Street lanes between Newcomb and 22nd Street.
