Puerto Rican Mobile Borinquen Soul Inspires First Bay Area Food Truck Mixtape

Daniel Zarazua
You might hear some cool tunes blasting from a food truck every once in a while -- we recall boogieing to Michael Jackson at the Filipino breakfast mobile called the Wow Truck recently -- but now a local food truck has inspired its very own mixtape.

Yesterday, DJ King Shameek released a 77-minute mix dedicated to Borinquen Soul, a Puerto Rican truck based in Oakland. It's got the fast pace of a hip-hop mix (and features Puerto Rican rappers like Big Pun) but also incorporates modern and traditional Puerto Rican tunes.
