Meet Anna Roth, S.F. Weekly's New Lead Food Critic
Here's some good news from the food desk: Starting July 16, author/editor/good person Anna Roth will take over the role of S.F. Weekly's lead food writer, restaurant critic, and SFoodie blog wrangler.![]()

Of course, having all these favorites doesn't mean Roth doesn't have lots to discover when she assumes her perch. "I'm stoked to learn about all the local breweries," she says. "I love beer, and L.A. isn't much of a beer town. I'm also really interested in California history and the role food has played in it, and am excited to visit some of those old California restaurants and saloons that have existed since the city was a rough-and-tumble boom town."
Look for Roth's first reviews and posts to hit SF Weekly and SFoodie in July. And welcome aboard, Anna!
