Cuatro De Mayo Fiesta Con Queso

The rundown: Doc's Clock is hosting a customer appreciation day with $1 PBRs, $3 Anchor Steam beers, $3 Fernet shots, and cheese and cheesy snacks, plus free swag, because why not?
Cuatro De Mayo Celebration

Cinco de Mayo Launch Party
Where: Tres, 130 Townsend (at Second St.), 227-0500

Cost: $40 advance purchase of bracelet/$50 at door, call to reserve
The rundown: Late night Lucha Libre, all-you-can-eat apps, bottomless margaritas, and music kicks off a full weekend of partying at Tres. Saturday will feature spit roasted Marin Sun Farms meat tacos, shot-and-beer and margarita specials, with Sunday brunch menudo and bottomless margaritas easing the pain.

Cinco De Derby - Seersuckers y Sombreros
Where: Elixir Saloon, 3200 16th St. (at Guerrero), 552-1633
When: Sat., May 5, 12 p.m.- 6 p.m.
The rundown: For the efficient party-goer, Elixr is celebrating both Derby and Cinco at the same time with free shots of bourbon or tequila for sporting big hats or sombreros, $8 juleps, $8 margaritas, and $10 BBQ plates.
138th Derby Day
Where: Harry Denton's Starlight Room, 450 Powell (at Sutter),395-8595

The rundown: Make run for the roses and mint juleps at this event that encourages you to bring your big hat and seersucker suit, hopefully at the same time. Entry includes a Kentucky style buffet, juleps, live bluegrass music, and prizes for most creative hat.
The rundown: The event we're most excited about is the return of the most delicious and thirst quenching collection of Mexican food and drinks, Hecho en San Francisco, all benefiting CUESA and La Cocina. Fresh tortillas heaped high with Tacolicious fillings, beer, tons of sides and bites, along with tequila cocktails make it the fiesta not to miss.
Bartender Relief Fund Cocktail Competition
Where: 200 California Avenue, Treasure Island
When: Sun., May. 6th, 4 p.m.- 7 p.m.
Cost: $10 at door, $5 drinks and hot dogs
The rundown: Bartenders from the East Bay and SF meet in neutral ground on Treasure Island for bragging rights and to raise money for the Bartenders Relief Fund.
The Touring Pop-up Sideshow Saloon

The rundown: The Jupiter Olympus crew turn back the clock for what sounds like an evening of Victorian era drinking and entertainment. With 1850's style sideshow attractions like mermaids, aerial performers, and a hand-cranked automated drink shaker run by Eric Quilty and Morgan Schick. Look for drinks like the The Prince of Humbugs (Hirsch Selection Bourbon, Luxardo Bitter, Blue Bottle Coffee, Luxardo Anisette, Peychaud's Bitters, soda water).
