This Weekend, Enjoy a Slow Beer at Golden Gate Park

It looks like we're due for another sunny weekend, a perfect time to slooooow down a bit and spend an afternoon in Golden Gate Park. And while you're there, be sure to stop and smell the beer.

On Saturday, the SF Brewer's Guild collaborates with Slow Food San Francisco to bring you a Slow Beer celebration. Let's be clear -- 'slow beer' doesn't have any bizarre physical properties. It doesn't drip slowly from the taps or bend the time-space continuum in any way. It does, however, give the drinker pause to reflect on life's passing pleasures. Judging from the participants in this weekend's event, there should be plenty of pleasure to go around. Travel slowly through time, here:

Slow Beer
Where: County Fair Building, Golden Gate Park, Lincoln Way and 9th Ave
When: Saturday, April 28th, 1-5pm
Cost: $50 advance, $60 door
What: Sample your way through over 25 brews from SF Brewer's Guild members such as 21st Amendment, Speakeasy, and Southern Pacific. Enjoy grilled sausages, oysters, charcuterie and other treats from the likes of Hog Island, Hip Chick Farms and Sour Flour Bakery. Admission includes all beer tasting, food, and time travel.
