Something sweet: The Richmond Blog discovers a new Japanese dessert shop, Akiba (3141 Clement at 32 Ave.). And yes, there are crepes.
Mariposa Baking Company is also serving sweet treats from its new Ferry Building location, according to Inside Scoop. They moved their gluten-free baking operations into the former Prather Ranch space. Yum.
Inside Scoop has a list of pending restaurants readying to open this spring. Next up? The second Nopalito is set to open on April 23.

The group behind Local Edition (opening today!) hasn't forgotten about their other space at 441 Jones (at Ellis). The former home of Mister Lew's Win Win Bar & Grand Sazerac Emporium will reopen as Tradition. Inside Scoop says to expect an opening in a few weeks.
Coco-luxe, which added wine and the moniker Coco-vine, is now Stanza. Uppercasing discovers the wine bar and coffee shop opened yesterday (1673 Haight at Cole).
