The past 24 hours in gossip, innuendo, and cold hard facts about the San Francisco food scene.

Four intricate members of the S.F. food scene are looking East: Inside Scoop reports Elizabeth Falkner (who shut Orson in Nov. and Citizen Cake in Dec.), Darren Crawford (bartender at Bourbon & Branch and Tony Nik's), and partner/operations director of Tony's Pizza Napoletana, Nancy Puglisi, are going to Brooklyn; Tony's Pizza's Tony Gemignari will act as a consultant. Their sights are set on opening a Sicilian-inspired pizza and pasta restaurant with a cocktail program.

In January we mentioned that Max's on the Square was slated to shut. Now, Eater SF confirms the "everything you've always wanted to eat" restaurant has gone dark.

William Werner's new patisserie is on the way: After the pop-up Tell Tale Preserve's brick-and-mortar plans fell through, Werner went to work on the hospitality group Outfit Generic -- creating a new blueprint for his future in the foodie world. Now Eater SF notes his new patisserie will open in the Mission this May. Savory and sweet items will line the menu -- and yes, the Rebel Within will make its triumphant return.

Ryan Scott's Please & Thank You is slated to open in two weeks. Grub Street shares that the restaurant with the good-mannered moniker will open its first location in West Portal before opening a second "grown-up version" of the casual eatery in Portrero Hill this April.

A pending liquor licensed for Folsom Street Foundry was discovered by Grub Street. The forthcoming restaurant has few details as of yet, but is on the way to a historic building on Folsom (at 10th St.) in SOMA.
