Caffeine Buzz: Philz Coffee and Silverstone Coffee Open, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Shutters

The past 24 hours in gossip, innuendo, and cold hard facts about the San Francisco food scene.

The Namu Gaji team let us know the opening of its Mission restaurant has been postponed to April 11 due to equipment issues.

Caffeine buzz: The latest Philz Coffee is readying to open. Noe Valley SF reports that lovers of the mint-garnished coffee will be able to pick up a cup at 4298 24th St. (at Douglass) starting March 30.

Tablehopper discovers, via a reader, that Silverstone Coffee is open in the Mission (3278 24th St. at Mission), but notes that Fillmore's Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has shuttered.

All baseball fans heading to the Giants' ballpark this year will have two new places to imbibe. Grub Street delivers the sudsy news that in addition to the beer garden, Anchor Brewing Co. will have a concession area -- complete with taproom.

There's a new Mediterranean spot in the Financial District. Grub Street reports Cafe Med is serving lunch and dinner, and has a lounge menu for those in-between hours (28 Second St. at Market).

And of course, if you haven't heard yet, the food truck bill banning them from parking near schools has been quashed.
